US Airways Reports Record November Load Factor

TEMPE, AZ -- US Airways Group, Inc. today announced November and year-to-date 2010 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 4.5 billion, up 7.8 percent versus November 2009. Mainline capacity was 5.6 billion available seat miles (ASMs), up 3.4 percent versus November 2009. Mainline passenger load factor was 80.6 percent, a record for the month of November and up 3.3 points versus November 2009.
US Airways’ President Scott Kirby said, “Our November consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) and total revenue per available seat mile each increased approximately 6 percent versus the same period last year.
“Our team did an outstanding job of taking care of our customers in November. For the month, our preliminary on-time performance as reported to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) was 86.0 percent with a record completion factor of 99.6 percent. In addition, our preliminary November baggage handling performance was the best since 2005.”
